ACJ showed a group of 25 jewellers at Treasure, the flagship show of London Jewellery Week 2011.As last year, the work showed a whole range of styles and materials.
The show had added a Trade Day, and there was a launch party for FairTrade and Fair Mined Gold in the Essence pavilion. Goldsmiths' Fair held its first event away from Goldsmiths' Hall with some 40 jewellers. Many ACJ members had their own stands. Altogether a bigger event this year.
The ACJ Priz
e Draw was again popular, on offer a commissioned piece worth £250 for the winner's choice of participants. Stephanie Perry had the winning ticket, and she nominated Liz Willis to make her piece. Last year's winner Pamela Henry drew the prize, wearing her commission from Linda Tyler: a chain mail necklace with double sided catch and an alternative catch - three variations in one piece.
The Steward volunteers did a grand job welcoming people and showing the work, thanks to all who attended. Special thanks to Lynne Bartlett, Janet Fitch, Muriel Wilson, Sue Hyams and Tricia Taylor.
