Dianne King Jewellery
Dianne King is an award-winning jewellery designer-maker based in Fife. She hand-makes one-off pieces of jewellery using silver, gold and unusual stones. Trained as a sculptor and art historian, she lectured at Edinburgh College of Art until 2001. She plays with art historical references and her jewellery tends to be sculptural. The designs are bold and contemporary, ranging from really chunky to delicate. Much of her recent work is based on the theme of Sea Stories, partly inspired by reading Neil Gunn’s novel, The Silver Darlings. The new Ruffle series comes from aspects of Elizabethan portraits.
Dianne exhibits regularly in UK galleries and in Sweden. |
