Helena Symes Jewellery

I studied Fine Art (Painting) at degree level and it was while I was studying that I discovered a love of geometric forms, clean lines and colour.
I have travelled extensively in India and Southeast Asia and it was in India where I began my jewellery making journey. I studied with a jeweller in Rajasthan over several years and continued to expand my knowledge and skills on my return to the UK. I have been permanently back in the UK since 2017 and currently share a studio space in Making Space, Havant.
The discoveries I made as a painter continue to inspire my jewellery designs. I like to challenge myself when making pieces and enjoy incorporating other materials where I can. I am passionate about recycling and see the beauty in discarded objects. I work mainly with recycled sterling silver, aluminium and reclaimed tin turning into geometric, colourful jewellery.
