I have been designing & creating metalwork & jewellery since graduating in 1990. I live & work in St Ives, Cornwall.
When I’m not in the studio I can often be found roaming Cornwall’s coastline and beaches in search of the ocean’s treasures to use for my work. From limpet shell necklaces to framed seaweed metal sculptures, texture and colour play an important part in my work, with each piece embodying the rich and earthy colours of the sea and coast, including Cornwall’s mineral rich heritage.

Texture, pattern & colour are my passion. I am drawn to distressed surfaces & like to explore different techniques of applying textures & patina to metal. I enjoy the immediacy of working with metal, that you are able to create effects quickly on the surface with tools & heat. I like to combine copper & brass for contrasting colour variations.

My most recent collection of jewellery has been inspired by both Troika pottery & Barbara Hepworth sculptures. I aim to create surfaces which reflect some of the incredible textures on these ceramics & sculptures. The pieces have a slight retro feel to the designs.
