Monica Wilson
With a life-long passion for the environment, Monica draws inspiration from the textures, shapes and colours of nature. Working in sterling silver, she often incorporates semi-precious stones. She uses techniques such as texturing with a rolling mill, casting of leaves and other found objects, and forming of silver sheet, including techniques such as chasing and repousse and fold forming.
Touches of gold and enamel add colour and depth to the silver, and burnishing brings flashes of light.
Monica has learned from many specialist experts over a lifetime, including at Goldmiths College, City Lit and with Jinks McGrath, Fabrizio Acquafresca amongst others.
